Dishday Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Dishday is a free recipe and meal planning app. This page explains what information the app uses and why.

No account, your data stays on your phone

You don’t create an account. Your meal plan, grocery list, saved recipes and food preferences are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

Anonymous usage statistics

The app creates a random install ID (not linked to your name, email or phone number) and sends it with the app version when the app opens, so we can count active installs. We also count, without any ID, how often each recipe is viewed, saved, added to a plan or cooked, to learn which recipes people like.

Advertising

Dishday is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect and use your device’s advertising ID, IP address and information about ad interactions to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and UK), the app asks for your consent first. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Children

Dishday is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
